Q. What is Ceridian?

Q. What is Ceridian LifeWorks?
LifeWorks is a service offered by Ceridian Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which is a division of Ceridian that provides services to meet the needs of employees. We anticipate and track workforce trends and develop services and solutions to respond to the ever-changing demands of the marketplace. Ceridian EAP solutions are designed to help individuals – and organizations – succeed. Our award-winning education materials and self-help interactive tools help employees make good decisions by educating them.
Q. What is Ceridian Provider Solutions?
Ceridian Provider Solutions is an internet portal that allows you access to paperwork and resources pertinent to the referrals you receive from Ceridian. You can submit forms directly to Ceridian and track referrals through the use of the your individual user ID.
Q. How secure is the information I provide in case notes?
Security is a high priority for Ceridian and for its providers. Ceridian has implemented security measures such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to secure online transmission of data between the client and the Ceridian web site. SSL is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral. SSL is an industry standard and is used by millions of web sites in the protection of their online transactions with their customers.
Q. Are security measures HIPAA compliant?
Ceridian complies with federal/state laws and regulations impacting employers and employees, including HIPAA and privacy/security requirements.
Q. Who else has access to the case notes?
You are the only person who has access to the case notes through Provider Solutions. Ceridian LifeWorks Consultants' and various other Ceridian staff have access to the case notes through a different, secure application. All staff members who might view the case notes are HIPAA trained and compliant.
Q. If I use Microsoft Internet Explorer, can I use the default settings for security zones or do I need to change them?
You can use the default settings. Changing the default settings may affect the functioning of Provider Solutions.
Q. Will virus or spyware scanning software interfere with access to Provider Solutions?
No, scanning software should have no effect.
Q. Can I use Provider Solutions to schedule appointments?
No, you can’t use Provider Solutions to schedule appointments. You use the same appointment system or application that you use for non–LifeWorks clients or patients.
Q. Does it matter which browser I use to access Provider Solutions?
You can use Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox. Users with Safari (Mac OS), and later versions of Firefox may experience some difficulties submitting documents. Firefox users may also experience an issue printing previously submitted forms.
Firefox users will find that some issues are resolved with the use of an Internet Explorer compatibility addon, such as IETab.
Macintosh users have reported success when using the Portal with third party browsers such as OmniWeb.
(Please make sure you use caution and take into account all potential risks when installing third party addons and software. These are not Ceridian supported products so install at your own risk.)
Q. Do popup blockers affect access to information in Provider Solutions?
Provider Solutions doesn’t use popups, so the use of blockers shouldn’t be a problem. Make sure when downloading files from the Portal, that your popup blocker doesn't block the file download dialog box.

Q. What if I can’t gain access to the site after registering?
If you have previously registered with Provider Solutions and have lost your password, on the Home Page click Reset Password. You will receive a new password through email. For security reasons, the password is a complex string of random characters. You may have trouble typing it in by hand, so we suggest using your computer's 'copy and paste' clipboard functions to copy the password from the email to the Portal login screen. After you log in using the new password, you can change it, if you wish.
Q. I had my password reset and it's still not working?
Have you tried the 'copy and paste' clipboard function to enter the password?
To copy, highlight the password by clicking, hlding and dragging the mouse cursor across the password.
Right click in the highlighted area and choose "Copy" with the left mouse button.
Next, at login screen for Ceridian Provider Solutions, enter your login ID.
Right click in the "Password" field and choose "Paste" with the left mouse button. This should put the password in the field.
Click "Sign In" and you should be taken to a password change screen.
Right click in the top field and choose "Paste" again.
In the bottom two fields enter your desired password that you want to log in with. It must be at least 7 characters including at least one special character (!,#,%, etc.).
Q. When I try to reset my password, it gives me a blank security question?
It is possible that you have not created a security question as of yet. Contact the Portal Help Desk to request a password reset. Once you have it, log in, change your password, and proceed to the following website to create or update your security question:
